TMS - RateShopBroker, TMSException

Hi all,

My name is Matteo and I'm looking for support in TMS.

The main problem is the error "RateShopBroker, TMSException" that appears when I try to calculate a rate shop from the workbench.

I think it's a problem with the rate engine but I've made the set-up of the parameters and I don't have any other ideas, also because I've started just few weeks ago to look at TMS.

Dear Matteo,

Please follow the navigation if you have problem to reach to the parameter.

TMS --> Parameter --> General tab --> Engines

Try to take help help from demo data to setup the following.

Rate master,

Break master,

Generic engine,

Milage engine,

Rate engine,

Shipping carrier

Dear Kumar,

Till now I'vent tried to do it unless I know there's the chance to do it because the route plan use to work.

If I'll initialize the base engine data, I'll lose all my data?

I've started working with TMS after the set-up was made so I'vent got this information... For this reason I'm worried about initializing engine, because I don't want to lose everything...

Dear,

It will help you to setup some default engine that is already done. Some criteria is defined already to calculate the TMS charges. If it suits you you can use the same or you can use your self created.

For this reason I can't understand why I'm still unable to calculate the rate shop..

Regarding data loses I have done testing in my machine. It is not deleting anything.I am not 100% sure it is affecting other setup or not. But if you on a production environment you have an option don't take risk just take backup of your DB and then initialize it. And then try.

Dear Prashant,

I've finally tried to restart my engines, after deleting any data about mileage and transit time engine, but I'm still facing out the same problem, the "usual" Rate Shop Broker, TMS Exception".. What can I do?

Can you please show me some screenshots so that I can understand the reason. One more thing I would like to ask which engine your are using to calculate the rate.
