Get/Change Error on table 'UPR_Year_End_WORK_HDR'

I'm trying to create the w2 magnetic media file for 2011. When I click on 'W-2 Electronic Filing' I get the following: Get/Change Error on table 'UPR_Year_End_WORK_HDR' failed accessing SQL data. Clicking on the 'More Info' button gives me 'Number of results columns doesnt match table definition.'

We are currently running Dynamics 10.00.1779 with Sql 2005. I would appreciate any advice/suggestions!

Hello Jim,

Thank you for the update! When you go to the W2 screen, it checks all companies so if there is a company that is missing the employerkind column, you will get this error.

Thanks for the response-It turns out that the sample company did not get updated at year end so it was crashing when it tried to load the w2 mag media screen. I deleted the company and it works fine.

Hello Jim,

For that error, we will need to verify the EmployerKind column is in the W200006 in the DYNAMICS database, and in the UPR10100 and UPR40100 table in ALL company databases. You can verify this by performing the following:

1. Log into SQL management studio.

2. Click New Query to enter a query.

3. Enter the query select EmployerKind from DYNAMICS..W200006

4. Enter the query select EmployerKind from <company>..UPR10100 (Do this for each company)

5. Enter the query select EmployerKind from <company>..UPR40100 (Do this for each company)

Please respond back to this thread to let me know if the DYNAMICS, or any companies are missing the EmployerKind column.
