Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to update the selected coverage group (under the Plan FastTab) for all items at once? I am beginning to use the Master Planning module and I need to change all of the item's assigned coverage group to a new one I created. Is there a way to do this?

Also, I have gone to Master Planning- Set up - Item setup, created an item coverage group for one item, and tried to copy those same settings to all of our items, however the coverage group is not changing.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

I think the Item setup for can only be used to set Item coverage; not Coverage group. The Coverage group on this form is just for filtering the items.

You could add the 'Coverage group' field to the Released products 'Edit in grid' view; probably the quickest way to set it for lots of items manually. And if all items really need the same Coverage group, you could delete the coverage group from the items and set the 'General coverage group' in the Master Planning parameters. This coverage group is used when none is set.

If the existing data is also one coverage group why not just change the settings of that group?

try to use office add ins.

you can update any data from excel easily.

Hi

I think "Item Setup" form in master planning, setup section can help you.

there you can change the items' Setups once for selection of Items.
