Fixed Asset Reclassification Account Error

(0) ShareShare

Hi All,

I am trying to reclassify fixed asset to new asset group.

Original asset group is 41

I would like to change this to 42.

Since the asset is already acquired (status open), using change fixed asset group will only change the asset group in the physical level but not the financial level.

I know using the reclassification function can change the asset group including the financial transaction from the original asset to new asset group. But when I try to reclassify, I got this error

"Account for transaction type Acquisition, value model 41, does not exist for fixed asset 0400002551 (this is new asset with asset group 42)"

Any idea what setup I missed? Thanks!

Regards,

Raymon

    Hi Raymon,

I would expect that you have not setup all accounts for the value model 41. Can you check that you have accounts assigned for fixed asset acquisitions and acquisition adjustments?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I have set the main account in fixed asset posting profile for value model 41 and 42 for both acquisition and acquisition adjustment. Any other setting I need to check?

    Regards,

    Raymon

    Hello Raymon,

It might be related to a bug if you operate an older AX2012 system.

You might want to check out LCS for available hotfixes.

I found a couple of them but do not know your exact system version.

So, please check yourself probably with the help of a technial / development expert.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi All,

We have  tried to reclassify a fixed asset to a new fixed asset group but we get an error: Account for transaction type, book CORP, does not exist for fixed asset 2100. This was what we were trying to do:

I don't know if it has anything to do with the fixed assets posting profiles but there are so many tables to fill, I just don't know. Can anybody help me out here?

    Thanks,

    Inge
