Hi,
Please specify more in detail which check boxes you are reffering to. What is the path in AX?
Best regards
Tony
Hi Tony,
Thanks you somuch for response. The path is
Organisation administration--Organisation--legal entity--addressform
in this form we will be having the primarycheck box and primary for country check box
The country/region that you select for the primary address of the legal entity controls the country/region-specific features that are available for the legal entity.
i know this is a super old post but the correct answer was not mentioned.
Primary is important as once set you cannot change the country once created. It has to be based on the legal entity details. This also effects the localizations you have access to for example if you select india address you have access to the indian localizations fields/reports from MS.
Now for "primary for country"- MS defines it as If a party is associated with one or more addresses in particular country and the registration ID is valid for all these addresses, you must designate one address as primary for the country. You can only register one ID as primary. Defines if the registration number can be entered only for primary for country address.
My take on this: This is seldom used in the implementations, we usually leave as No. If you have multiple addresses in one particular country you can set one as your main for the entire country. Note you can always other addresses for each branch anytime. Or even change the address description of the original.
