Free up storage space: Table "msdyn_customerAssetBase"

Posted on by 141

Hello,

I am currently working on reducing our storage capacity and one of our top 10 storage cause tables is the "msdyn_customerAssetBase".

This currently occupies ~15 GB in our production environment. We transfer our ERP Equipments as Assets into the CRM system. It is a huge amount of data. Several 100.000 Assets

Does anyone have experience with this table and can answer the following:

  1. when is this table filled? I assume that each Asset generates an entry?
  2. how can this table be reduced?

Many thanks in advance!

Your understanding is correct. and as you said you cannot delete the records then you have to add additional storage to your tenant.
