We have a lot of HDPE manufactured product with as many as 40 colors. Each of the manufactured items currently has to have 40 BOM's to reflect each of the raw material colors. Each of our BOM builders (across 3 companies) are having to make 10-20 of these manufactured items every week.

This is causing BOM circularity check nightmares and is very taxing on BOM builders.

Aside from using dimension-based configurations (Too late, 300,000 items in color dimension;If we knew then what we know now...) are there any functions in d365 that handle this situation? Perhaps a flag that says "Assume color from parent Item color" or the like?
