Internal Requisition Add-On Needed

Does anyone know of a third party add-on that would allow for internal requisitions that could then be turned into purchase orders to move quantity from one site ID to another? Let say a company has one central warehouse from which all items come. What is needed is the ability to cut a requisition that will then be turned into a purchase order that will increase the quantity at the delivery site but also decrease the quantity at the warehouse. Does such an add-on exist or do I have another coding job ahead of me?

    You could use In-Transit Transfers.  The transfer entry looks a little like a PO.  The printouts could look a lot like a PO.  It creates a normal Inventory Transaction to get the Inventory from the source site to the intermediate (in-transit) site.  A Receipt transaction gets it from the intermediate (in-transit) site into the destination site.  No Payables stuff is generated.

    I was thinking the same as Tim.  May need some work to achieve what you are after.

    Question - why a PO?  Is there internal accounts payable as well?

    Client is coming down from an extremely expensive requisition system and insists on processing requisitions. I have been informed by ReQlogic that their requisition system has a Physical Fulfillment option that will look at existing inventory and pull the quantities from there if they are available. This looks like the way to go.

    The client is currently researching this issue and evaluating their current process. Once they come to a consensus we will decide which way to go. Most of their users have become used to placing requisitions through their browser. Having these users in GP is a bit frightening.
