DIXF - get staging data - Select query range

Hello everybody,

In the get staging form, when we press the Select button, a query range/sorting form is displayed.

Where/How does this form populate the available range? I know the query object is stored in the QueryData field from the DMFDefinitionGroupExecution record of the entity. But I haven<t found how DMF decide which fields are the default available range.

It is not coming from
- the DMF field group on the entity table
- the entity class
- the entity query (there no range or linked datasource)

yet some fields are proposed as range.

If someone is familiar with the more advanced features of the inner qorkings, I would like to know.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Eric Lepage,

As far as I know, by default AX uses primary index as a range and if there is no index it will use titleField1 and 2.

    Hi ievgen,

You're right! Thanks for the quick reply!

AX will ignore recId fields from the primary index; I just try adding a numeric field and it was available in the query. I then added a int64 field and it is not picked up automatically in the available range.

    Regards,

    Eric

Yep, it is. It ignores RecId and surrogate key, but it is not DMF specific, it's standard code to build query form anywhere in AX.
