How to deploy continues changes/fixes & at the same time working with bigger solutions(current projects that will be released)

Posted on by 278

Hello, we have a scenario where we are having a side project phase with a seperated solution. For e.g we customized a form which is already being used, and we created some new tabs and created many fields on those. And this will be released in about 3 months as a "new release". The problem is when i want to do some quick changes on the form and deploy these to production, it requires me to move all of the customizations (news tabs, field and so on).. How do you usually work with small changes that are continues and at the same time having larger sprints(solutions) where you touch existing components of the system?

Thanks alot!!!

    Greetings,

If you move only the patch 1, it will move only the changes made there.

Based on your question, I think this is the best way to achieve your goal. I strongly recommend you do some tests to fully understand this functionality.

Ok thanks, but if i in patch 1 & 2, change the same entity and the same form, won't that transfer both changes when transfering for e.g patch 1?

    Hello there,

    You could use solution patches:
