Script to check if Login is Locked Out

Anyone know a script to check to see if and account is locked out?  We have users that call us saying they cannot log in.  If their account is locked out, we want to tell them they have to wait 30 minutes; if not we can jsut reset their password.

Thanks,

 ktilzo

What do you mean by locked out?

Why do you wait 30 minutes?

Do you mean Microsoft DynamicsGP user logins?

    Best regards,

    Ian,

By locked out I mean the DynamicGP user has exceeded the maximum number of logins (I think it is five for us) and now has their login account locked.  And there is not much we can do to help the user login without waiting the 30 minutes for the user account to unlock (and then we can change the password).

    Ok.

But sorry, I still don't understand. How is their account being locked? If the max number of users are logged in...and another user tries to get in...GP just tells them that the max users are logged in. The very minute a user logs out and frees up a seat...this user can now log in. There is no account locking in GP.

How will changing their password help?

    Best regards,

    Ian,

I am not talking about the max number of users logged into the system but rather the number of [failed] attempts a user tries.  After that five failed attempts the user's account is locked out.  They then will have to wait 30 minutes before their account is unlocked.

I had mentioned password reset becuase if they failed to login five times they probably don't remember their password any longer.  Even if we change their password they cannot login until the system automatically unlocks their password.

Understood. Let me check through some tables and see what I can come up with.
