Customizing Screen - Invoice and Adjustment Maintenance and Fields are now missing

What I thought would be a simple fix is now causing major issues.  I went in to attempt to change the length of a column and now several of the fields no longer show up in the screen in the grid view of the Invoice and Adjustment Maintenance Screen (BI.BAM.00).  I made sure that the fields are all set to visible but they do not show up.  Help please!

Thank you Sunita. I wasted hours trying to adjust this screen because of dissapearance of the fields after changing their width or location using mouse. Your suggestion works perfectly and made my life much easier.

Hello Stacia, I am guessing you attempted to increase the Width of the column by dragging it with mouse. I would recommend to instead use the Properties window to modify the "Width" property, and subsequently the "Left" property. Can you provide further detail on which column you tried to make it wider? If this is the only change made on the screen, you may want to remove the customization and instead use Property window to alter the control properties for width and location.

Thanks for the feedback!  We ended up exporting customizations from a test environment and importing them into our production environment.

The only way, that I am aware of, for a screen to have an asterisk in the front of the screen name is for there to be customizations to that screen found in one of those 3 tables (with customvba being the most likely).  You indicated that you removed that screened records from customvba but I now wonder if that actually occurred like you think it did.  I would run a query against that table again to confirm there are no lines for that screen id.

Yes, there is an asterisk, we checked the custom and custom2 table and they are empty.  Any other ideas?

Rebooting the server should have no effect on your issue.  Now that you have cleared that screen out of customvba, when you open the screen, does the screen title start with an asterisk?  If so, then there is still some sort of customization playing against the screen.  You may want to look at the contents of the custom table and the custom2 tables in the system database to see if there is an entry for this screen ID in either of those tables and remove such entries.

Deleted from customvba and fields are still missing.  Would we need to reboot server?

Open the screen in question and click the SL logo button at the top left.  Select Customize Mode.  Click the Customize button on the toolbar and select remove changes for screen.  That should reset the screen to its standard presentation.  One word of caution, if this screen had other customizations, this process will remove those as well and they will have to be re-applied.  Also, you will want the customization level the same as when you applied the changes in the first place (see Administration - Select customization level.

Your other option would be to remove the customization from the customvba table located in the system database using a SQL command (if you have access to SQL Server Management Studio).

delete from customvba where screened = 'BIBAM00'

Rick - Thanks for you feedback.  Can you give some guidance on removing the customization?

Normally doing what you did should not have caused your issue, particularly in the grid view.  I am assuming you did this via Customization Manager.  If so, you can remove your customization from the screen and see if your fields show again.

Are you sure they are not showing or just move to the right such that you have to scroll to see them?  If you switc to form view (F4), are those fields showing?
