    Hi

Sandip - if it drops the leading zero, then it tries to put the date as 32/92/010 which obviously won't work.

Tony - I have had this sort of thing before.  Sometimes when it runs the merge it drops leading zeros.  Trying setting the Excel column up as a text format and have the date displaying as 03292010.  You don't need to have the / in the date.

If you look in the Fixed Assets manual under the Fixed Assets Import Utility, it lists all the fields (this is designed to work with the GP Import Utility) with the format they should be set up in to work.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Heather

And if this doesn't do it, you can record macro's on this screen and mail merge the info (that is what the standard import does).  If the data already exists and you are updating a manually recorded macro would be a better option.

Have you reviewed the Fixed Asset Management printable manual (Help button) from within GP? Chapter 7 covers Asset imports and gives you a listing of the fields available for import. (Page 68 in GP2010).

    I hope this helps.
