Retail Extensibility - Printing receipt with barcode on suspend transaction

Hi,

I was looking at the retail extensibility pattern in the dynamics 365 for retail but I haven't found the extension point for printing the custom receipts (say receipt with customized characters and customized layout). 

Actually, I want to print the receipt with barcode on suspend transaction and same needs to be recalled based on scanning of the same barcode. I found that the code needs to be written on PostSuspendTransaction Trigger event but I haven't found how to print the receipt and there is no extension point given for the same.

Same is with recalling of the transaction where the suspended transaction need to be searched based on barcode scanned.

Can anyone help me on the same as I am struggling with it from past 1 week.

    Hi,

    MS has provided a sample of it. Create a custom receipt with type "Customreceipt7" and attach it to your receipt profile. you need to enable the extension in POS and CRT.

    It is working for me.

    The picture is much bigger than you are thinking.

    1. Are you able to print the barcode with receipt number or transaction number ? As far I know receipt number is not generated while suspending the transaction.

    2. Are you able to recall the transaction based on scanning of barcode ?

    You have to customize the sample to accommodate barcode and scanning, as it is only relevant to your requirement.

    Receipt number is generated once the transaction is tendered.  We print transaction ID as the bar code and use a customized lookup for transactionid to recall the transaction.
