License update issue: Dynamics Business Central

Hi,

My user is assigned with "Business Central premium" license in azure, but it is not visible on User card

I have tried "Update Users from Microsoft 365" but it's not updating.

Note: "Internal BC administrator" license is showing on user card.

What should be the cause of this issue?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Sagar_Dangar_MCP,

This issue usually happens because the license synchronization hasn't fully completed or the user has multiple licenses assigned, causing Business Central to pick up a different license type.

Here’s what you can quickly check or do:

    1.

      Verify License Assignment:

      •

Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and ensure the correct "Business Central Premium" license is assigned to the user (no conflicts with other licenses).

      •

    2.

Force License Synchronization in Business Central:

      •

Navigate to Users page in BC.

      •

Run "Update Users from Microsoft 365" again.

      •

If still unsuccessful, wait a few minutes as synchronization might have a slight delay.

      •

    3.

      Check License Priority:

      •

"Internal BC Administrator" might override Premium visibility if assigned simultaneously.

      •

Temporarily remove other conflicting licenses from the user in Azure/M365 admin and re-run synchronization.

      •

    4.

      Clear User Personalization (Optional):

      •

In rare cases, outdated personalization caches license details.

      •

Navigate to User Personalizations page, clear for the affected user, and retry license update.

      •

    5.

Usually, step #3 solves this type of issue. Let me know how it goes!

    Hope this helps!

Detach the license from Microsoft 365, recreate the user, reassign the license, and then try updating it in Business Central. Sometimes this issue originates within Microsoft 365, and performing a reset like this can resolve it.

    Hi,

    1. I removed "Business Central premium" license and Assigned "Business Central license for WIs " license and run "Update users from Microsoft 365"
    2. Again, I removed "Business Central license for WIs " license and Assigned "Business Central premium" license and run "Update users from Microsoft 365" and it's updated.
