Batch Expiration Date information while Picking Sales order work on mobile device

Hi,

I wanted to know if it is possible to show Batch Expiration Date to user while Picking Sales order on mobile device.

This is due to warehouse requirement as they dont print label for batches and before picking user can only refer to batch expiration date available on the item to confirm if right batch is picked.

Thanks
I have the same question (0)

    Good day,

    Two solution ideas:

    1. Change the priority of the field 'Batch expiry date', move it up to priority 10.

    2. If the batch has been expired, assign a batch disposition code that blocks the sales order picking

You can automatic assign a batch disposition code with the batch job 'Update batch disposition status'.

    Best regards,

    Hi lvdtang,

Thank you for suggesting the solution approach.

Is there a way when I go to Sales Pick Menu for Batch item, it displays its expiration date as additional information ? Like, we have look ups we can configure which can allow user to use lookup and see the Batch expiration information. requirement is to see Batch expiry date.

    Good day,

Yes, you can make a detour to the InventBatch table with a mobile device menu item

    Hi lvdtang

I used Invent batch table as advised below and entered below as query and field list.

Before testing detour, i added this menu item to Inquiries MENU to see its working. However, when I enter Item number in the menu it is not showing any value of batch or its expiration date. Same, is if I enter Batch number but no expiration date value.

Also, If I add this to a SALES PICK MENU item to use above Batch Lookup as detour. I can only Copy or paste into WORK value (in SEND/BRING BACK).

I am not sure if I'm missing here anything.

    Thanks,

    Good day,

Can you share a screenshot of a batch with an expiration date in Dynamics and how it looks when you open it in the Warehouse app with the new inquiry menu item?

    Best regards,

    Hi lvdtang

    Thanks for your reply :)

I changed the Edit query for Batch lookup Menu item to only see Item number and removed Batch number/Expiration date.
I have kept Display field as all 3 i.e Item number, Batch number and Expiration date.
Due to this now, I am able to see batch number and expiration date when I enter item number in enquiry menu.

However, Adding this Batch lookup Menu item as detour on Sales Picking Menu, doesnt appear as Detour. I tried Step ID : InventbatchID, WorkID both.

It is reflecting if added in PONum Step ID. I am not sure what specifically, I am doing wrong.

    Good day,

You're welcome! Did you add the menu item 'Batch lookup' also to your mobile device menu?

    Best regards,
