Confirmation Request Email & Double-Opt-In Email sending takes way too long

Hey Guys,

we are just Implementing Dynamics 365 Marketing. 

To meet GDPR requirements, we need to set up the Double-Opt-In Process.

One of our pains is, that sending the confirmation email takes way too long (10-30 Minutes is unacceptable).

Is there any Setting or Trigger which we can manipulate to make the sending quicker?

    Hi Sven,

    I didn't find the setting to change the sending time.

    Do your also need to wait 10-30 Minutes when recipient receives marketing email?

    If your marketing time zone setting and DKIM are all well configured, I suggest you open a support ticket for help.

    thanks you your quick reply.

    I dont have to wait so long when i am sending marketing emails.

    My timezone and DKIM is correct.

    I also checked the form transmission ( if there is any delay) but its also fine.

    I will follow your advice and open a support ticket.

    Hi Sven,

    I found a previous thread with same topic, however,

    replier only said that the time is up to 30 minutes, which would be not helpful for your situation.

     In your support ticket, please add following information:

    * your org URL and its version

    * parts that working well: marketing email/marketing form submission/well configured marketing settings and DKIM

    * your issue at present

    * your expected result

    hi Clofly,

    thanks, I also found this previous thread with this 30 minutes limit, but the point is, that this sending should take at maximum 2 minutes (in order to meet customer requirements).

    Iam waiting for the customer service response. I will let you know if something changes.

    Hi Sven,

    our engineering team is aware of this and will be working on improvement.

    For now, there is no config available to speed this up unfortunately.

    In Dynamics 365 Marketing,

    Have you found out what filtering process the email has to go through before being received by the recipient?

    Have you checked where the confirmation email lands in the recipient's mailbox?

    Sometimes when the bulk email is sent, some webmail providers delay the delivery to up to 24 hours.

    Hey Guys,

    thank you all for your help, I just called with the Support Team.

    Here is a summary of the outcome:

    • This issue seems to be a known issue
    • This issue will be fixed and released In the next release version which shortly in April last week.

    • I used the opportunity to address a second issue: A multi-Language Double-Opt-In will also be provided in this update.

    I guess that is some good news.
