Hi there,
we are currently trying to decide about which kind of material we would like to store in the KB. Would it be possible to make links to articles accessible to people that do not have an enabled dynamics user?
Thank you
Hi Carina,
It is possible to make links to articles in a Dynamics CRM Knowledge Base (KB) accessible to people who do not have an enabled Dynamics user, but it will depend on your specific implementation and the security settings of your CRM.
You could create a public-facing web page that uses the Dynamics CRM Web API to retrieve the articles and display them to users. This could include an authentication method such as OAuth to ensure that only authorized users have access to the articles.
Another way is to use Dynamics CRM Portals, which allows you to create a public-facing website that can be used to access KB articles, and other information, without requiring a Dynamics user account.
You could also use Dynamics CRM's SharePoint integration feature and share the KB articles to public SharePoint site that could be accessed by anyone with the link.
knowledge base articles can be shared with outside users using Power Apps Portals (aka Power Pages) or with a custom web application.
You can also decide if a user can access anonymously the website or requires a login first.
hope it helps
