Business Central after a Migration

Posted on by
Hi Everyone,
i wanted to ask as we are having a M365 portal which is managed by our MSP and by the end of the year we will have our own tenant so we will do a migration from that portal to a new one (which is already setup but under a different domain).
and we want to setup Business Central now on the new portal but we wanted to know will it fine after we do the migration and move everything to the new one and change the domain to the main one which is under the MSP. or we will have many issues after it, and its better to do it after the migration?

Please let me know.

Thanks and Regards.

Hi, It is recommended to do this after migration. If the user ID is an external user (not in a Domain), many integrated functions, such as Edit in Excel, Teams, etc., will not be available. If the user information changes, a lot of old information will be left behind.

In addition, the following feature is expected to be released in December. If you deploy BC first, It can also be transferred to the new Tenant.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
