My client was on GP 2010 SP1 which was a version too early to update (11.00.1667), I read the upgrade paths and several said from GP.11.00.1866 or any later version will move to GP 2013 RTM,  but not so.  FIrst I selected the gp 2010 year end update and ran that.  this took me to 11.0.2292

then  when I started the upgrade to GP 2013 SP2 I received an error tht it would not support upgrade from 11.0.2292 for product 0, would not support upgrade for 309 (fixed assets) from 2276, and the last 3 products 1058,1150,3096- all products used in my UK install.  Yes I am running this from the UK install.

so I restored my old version 11.00.1667 did the upgrade to the R2 release and it gave me the same version number again 11.0.2292-- seems odd to me

I started the 2013 RTM upgrade and receved the same error message

I need all these modules/products except field service( 949)-- ANY IDEAS?

I have 140 databases and although the server is fast it still takes 36 hours!  so

is there a way to get from what I have now GP 2010 RS ( 11.0.2292) to 2013

I am not sure I will have time to start over again

HELP!

Thanks

Carolyn

When you did the restore, did you also restore the DYNAMICS database?  this is where all the version information is held.

Is there a way to force the upgrade?

    Hi Carolyn,

You don't need to force the upgrade. If you are on the latest build of GP 2010 you need to be on the latest build of GP 2013. Try applying the latest build of GP 2013 and I bet you don't get a version error :)
