Issues linking Payment Connector with Bank of America to RMS

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I've been working on this for a few days trying to get processing to work through RMS v 2.0.2000. I have followed all of the directions I have found online and the dynamics online payment service is configured and running. I can take payments directly in the service through the browser. I copied the token from RMS into a system user with proper rights into the the portal and entered all of the merchant information into the EDC configuration under RMS Administrator. I can copy the Poral URL from RMS EDC into the browser and log in with the windows live information from the account. However when I try to run a test transaction in the POS I get the error "Value cannot be null. Parameter name: properties". I have searched all of the tables and can not find a parameter named properties. Has anyone been successful in getting this thing to work?

Not sure this will apply to your situation, but if the merchant account is set up as a Nashville account and works for your web transactions, it may not be the correct account type for your POS transactions. We use Yahoo web store for our online transactions, which requires an FDMS Nashville platform merchant account. We had to have that set up as a separate account from our in-house POS merchant, which is not the same platform.

    1. Go to www.dynamicsonline.com
    2. Select For Customers.

    3. Log in with a Microsoft Account (also known as Windows Live ID).
NOTE: If this auto logs you in with an account that is saved in the browser, go to Live.com and sign out first.
    4. Select Service List in the left navigation pane.
    5. Find the payment service that you would like to link to your AX company.
    6. Copy the Service ID from ID field.

Thank you Ed for your quick response. I have the cards processing and activated through the portal and I did eeter everything into the EDC under SOAdmin. The only field I wasn't sure about was the "Service ID" but I tried their Voice ID, MID, Nashville MID, etc and still the same result. I was also confused about the DOPSIdentified and Password however the account verified and they are able to process via the web so I figured it must be right.

The processing is not located in the database.  It is setup per lane.

Did you setup the processing on the machine you are running cards on?

If not, then go through and enter the parameters into each station under the SO Admin -> Configuration ->EDC section.

Also just for reference microsoft posted a blog about a year ago.
