5% discount on purchase to track advertising

Posted on by 55

We are trying to set up a "button" for % discounts based upon different advertising sources to track which advertising works.  I've not been able to figure out how to allow Cashiers to discount sales by a percentage let alone assign it to a button to track it to a particular advertisement.  How can I do percentage discounts on anything we sell without my Cashiers having to do the math and change the prices?

You can set up macro buttons for the discounts and name them; I think it would still trigger the Reason Codes popup and there you could name the promos the same way so the cashier can select the right one more easily.

There is also a Marketing Data collection and reporting module that is part of the Retail Realm Store Utilities bundle.

We use the Shift F3 command and then apply a reason code that we have defined for the discount.
