Difference in behaviour of interaction log entries with attachments in BC / NAV

Hi folks,

when using interaction templates in the segments module within navision (e.g. 9) the behaviour was like "creating an interaction template with an word attachment => creating a segment with an an interaction template code => log the segment. When logging the segment the word template is filled with information from the contacts which are in the segment lines. Also a interaction log entry was created with a link to the generated attachment. So it was possible to open the attachment with specific text for each contact.

In Business Central there is a new feature called Word interaction templates. Only these templates give the possibility to create serial letters for several contacts witihin a segment. But when logging the segment there is no attachment linked to the interaction log entry.

When using only attachment from within the interaction log entry there is no specific information (such as adress etc.) from the contact in the attachment. so no serial letter can be created.

Is this the standard behaviour or do I miss something?

We want to achieve that we can create serial letters from a segment by using interaction templates and attaching the specific file for each contact as an attachment to the interaction log entries.
Is this possible or does this need customization?

Thanks :-)
