Greetings Forum!
I've been trying to make use of the WMS Dock Management feature to guide picked shipments into staging lanes, but enforce a one-shipment per staging lane (location) rule. Unfortunately, when creating work, the system "puts" multiple shipments into the first location.
Here's a summary of the setup I'm using:
AX 2012R3 CU11
LOCATIONS: I have 20 staging locations S1..S20; all of them are on zone "STAGE1"
LOCN PROFILES: The location type is referenced as a staging location on the WMS Parameters form. All have a dock management profile assigned.
DOCK MANAGEMENT PROFILE: Is set to not allow mixed shipments (although I've tried all the options here with no luck). The check mark for "assume empty location" is unchecked.
WORK TEMPLATE:
- Pick from stock
- Put to Stage (with Directive code)
- Pick from Stage
- Put to Final Ship Location
LOCATION DIR: for Stage step - linked with the directive code, directs the PUT to zone that holds all the S1..S20 locations.
When I create three outbound orders (three different loads; 3 shipments) and release them, I would assume that the system would stage the first order in S1, the second in S2 and so on. However - the work created puts all three orders in S1. I've tried multiple variations of the "release to warehouse" process and multiple ways of structuring waves, but still get the same outcome.
Can anyone see if something is missing from the setup? Or perhaps there is a bug/hotfix I'm not aware of?
Thanks in advance!
