We are in process of implementing the Dynamics 365, as per our vendor we need to procure the Golden configuration server. Could any one know how much it will cost approximately

If you look at a baseline envrionment with an SSD, 4 cores, and 16 GB or RAM then in US East 2 zone it costs between $300-$400 per month. Turning the machine off during non-work hours will help drive the cost a bit down.
Just want to understand Golden configuration server will use only one time before go-live right ?
Not exactly. It will be used throughout the implementation phase to store the so-called "golden configuration". Golden configuration includes D365 F&O system configuration for all modules you are going to go live with. It is supposed to be kept transaction free, sometimes it's ok to upload certain master data. This environment's database will be used to refresh the sandbox environment whenever the next sprint, CRP, or other milestone is hit. You need to ask your partner to elaborate on how they will be utilizing it.
After the go-live event, this environment can still be used as a golden configuration environment if you are rolling out a program to multiple locations, or it can be repurposed to a proper dev environment, or even scrapped completely. Depends on your needs.
