DEV: Error downloading symbol in VS Code

Hello,

i'm trying to start with my experience in developing for BC with VSCode.

I've followed this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/devenv-get-started-container-sandbox

Now i have my up and running sandbox on my server, i can access it with my username and password.

I also installed AL on my VSCode and generated my first project with AL: GO!

Now, if i try to download symbols i get an error: ' No credential available in security package' (or at least this is the english translation more or less)

I've edited my launch.json with my parameters:

"server""">http://bctest",
"serverInstance""BC",
"authentication""Windows",
Any idea on what i'm missing or what i can check?
If i try UserPassword instead of Windows i get prompted to insert username and password over and over again.
I have the same question (0)

Ok, after trying with a different account for Business Central i was able to download the symbols and to authenticate.

Still i can't use my local container but at this point i guess i will use the cloud sandbox.

    Thanks everyone for the help.

By what I understand, you are using BC Cloud but what your launch.json file contains looks like a config for local/ on-prem.

While you create your Workspace, select "Microsoft Cloud Sandbox".

    Refer: jyotsnanav.blogspot.com/.../getting-started-with-al-in-dynamics-365.html

    Hope it helps!

as described by the microsoft doc linked in my OP, i downloaded the PowerShell script from cloud instance of Business Central.

Then i used that script to create a container on my local server.

My local Business Central container seems to work fine and i can login in the application without any problem, as you can see in this screenshot:

    pastedimage1594371165297v1.png

That's the sandbox i'm trying to connect to.

From what you can deduce that i'm using BC cloud?

Edit: I also tried the the procedure in your blog:

    my output is the following:

I have a suspect: it can be a license problem??

    Hello,

You may want to have a look here:

    Thanks.

I tried clearing credential multiple time and, as stated on my OP, i switched between Windows auth and UserPassword auth but nothing seems to work.
