Utility Window for Field Names

Note: all of the following is fuzzy and subject to questioning the exact details.

I have a memory of a window a Microsoft Developer demoed during reIMAGINE 2014 which was put forth as a utility for getting all the fields on a window (and I think on in a table too). It's purpose really was only for development and it was billed as useful for starting Service Based Architecture code. He showed how you would select your window and it would output all the fields in a easy to copy layout such that they were comma-separated such it would save you time in typing out all the field names in code.

I do not remember if it was inside GP.

I do not remember if it was inside Dexterity.

I do not remember if it was part of Winthrop's GP Power Tools.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

    Hi Chad

GP Power Tools has the Resource information and Resource Explorer windows which are good for finding resource info.

However, the window you are talking about is in Dynamics.dic and is called ServiceCodeGenerator.

ServiceCodeGenerator is the window I was failing to recall. I found this GP Engineer Blog post on the topic describing how to access and use the window. Thank you David and Béat for your other recommendations as well.

Thanks Chad for posting up the reference about the tool..

Could prove to be useful to other in the future :-)

PS: being one of those ~Internal~ forms, there is no menu to call up the form.. but with the help of GPPT Resources Information you can :-).. just type in the technical name 'ServiceCodeGenerator' & hit TAB, it will pull up the details and then you can click on 'Open' to bring the actual form on screen.
