CRM Configuration Migration Error: User Assignment Required

Hi there,

If trying to import data by using CRM Configuration Migration Tool I constantly receive a warning "User assignment required" and additional an error "To continue a user assignment is required" message and nothing happens at all.

The message sounds as if I could click somewhere and than continue, but I can not.

Anyone there who know what this error exactly means? Tried Google already, but found nothing (maybe because it's labeled different in English (using German version)).

Hi Tom4U I tried the steps as described in your post but I still have no luck. I did the following:

1. Exported schema and data including fieldsecurity and syncattributemappingprofile relationships.

2. Ignored error that says that these tables should be included

3. Attempted to import data.zip but I do not get the prompt or mapping users.

Did you do anything different?

I've found a solution myself. The problem was/is the schema validation. If you run the validation it warns that entities fieldsecurity and syncattributemappingprofile for entity user need to be included. Because I couldn't find any entities with such names I removed the relationships. But it seems these are necessary for Configuration Manger to bring up the CRM User Mapper (see screenshot 1).

After ignoring this warning while regenerating the schema and exporting and importing the data again, CM behaved as expected (see screenshot 2).

Ok, I just had a look into documentation, and there the screenshot show, what I had once seen.

But now this window for mapping doesn't pop-up anymore and migration just stops.

Any idea why?

This sounds logically. Strange is, during another approach I was once asked about what user I'd like to use.

This usually means you are importing users in your data set and you need to supply a mapping file of users. Could you post a screenshot?
