Shopify Connector – Syncing Custom Fields to Metafields

Hi everyone,

I’m working with the default Shopify connector in Business Central and would like to understand how Shopify metafields work within this integration.

Specifically, I want to sync a custom field from BC items to a Shopify product metafield using the standard connector. Could someone please guide me on:

How metafields are handled by the connector
What configuration or mapping steps are involved
Whether any AL code customization is required
Any useful blogs, code samples, or documentation

I’m a developer as well, so I’m happy to explore technical solutions if customization is needed.

Were you able to get this to work? I've looked at almost every integration event on Shpfy Product Events and the ShpfyProduct record doesn't have an ID value (either OnBefore or OnAfter) so I can't populate the Shopify Metafields table correctly.
