any chance you are using the latest version of Firefox?

    try with a different browser

EDIT: you get the file, just open the file you get with Excel.

    I am using Internet explorer.

while exporting i have not checked the next check box.

when i was checking the checkbox it was coming as .xml.

after unchecking the checkbox it's now correctly coming as xls file.

    Hi,

In your version of CRM, when you check "Enlable records for re-import" checkbox, then you will get XML file. But you can open this file in Excel without any problem

I recently had an error like this, after selecting "Export to Excel" there seems to be no response. i found that this is caused when one or more field labels in your view have the same name. for example, let's say you are trying to export policy information and there is a main member and a spouse on the contact record, while both the main member and the spouse have the same field name called, "First Name". if the word "First Name" appears twice in the same view, the export to excel will fail. to resolve this issue, change the name of the second field to "Spouse First Name" then your file will export. I hope this helps your issue.

Check to make sure that the file is in Excel format. To do this, open the file in a text editor (e.g. Notepad), and look for any of the following characters: ".xls" ".xlsm" ".xlsx". If the file doesn't contain any of those characters, it's not an Excel file and won't be able to be opened in Excel. Try saving the file as an Excel (.xls, .xlsm, or .xlsx) file. I faced the same problem where I saved my assignment in such format that I got from https://www.aussiessay.com/assignment-help.php website where professional writers helped me in the completion. Well, the above mentioned solution worked for me and I am sure you'll also get it.
