"Problem communicating with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server" error message when you configure the Dynamics CRM Client for Outlook

The Steps on the following forum do not help and is still happening for 3 of my users.

This error happens when users try to Track and Email in CRM. Are there any other potential solutions here?

    My name is Andres Guzman, I'm glad to help you.

    Maybe, you can take the traces when you try to configure your CRM for Outlook.

    To have this info, you can follow the next process: social.technet.microsoft.com/.../14522.enable-tracing-in-the-crm-2011-outlook-client.aspx

    The other think you can do is to apply a full uninstall in your CRM for Outlook client (blogabilitycrm.blogspot.com/.../full-uninstall-of-microsoft-crm-outlook.html) and reinstall again.

    Some times we need to install the last version UR for our product to sync well with CRM.

    im dealing with 2015 on windows 8 so these instructions do not help... and i believe this links to the the other problem

    I think you can use the same configuration to take the traces for your CRM for Outlook when you reproduce the issue: technet.microsoft.com/.../hh699694.aspx

    The only think that I can see in your logs is the next error:

    CrmSqlCeConnection::ExecuteInNewConnection() Unexpected Exception: System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeInvalidDatabaseFormatException (0x80004005): The database file has been created by an earlier version of SQL Server Compact. Please upgrade using SqlCeEngine.Upgrade() method.

    Apparently you have a SQL CE when you tried to install your CRM for Oultook.

    I recommended you to remove all your SQL versions to allow the wizar to install CRM for Outlook to add their own SQL version.

    that would make sense because i had 2011 on the computer from when i did the upgrade to 2015 - I will check this out and mark suggested if it works, thank you

    Updates did not work, but i did a computer wipe then migrated and it worked
