Using your media gallery images in D365 Commerce HQ for sales order entry by CSR

We are using Site builder's Digital Asset Management tool (DAM) to host the digital assets we are displaying on our Ecommerce sites. We have 150+ customer service reps that want to be able to view product images when working in D365 Commerce HQ. On the released products from, the image that is displayed in the factbox on the form appears to be reliant on a document image rather than the Media server image. For sales order entry, the sales line again shows a displayed factbox with an image but the image is a document image not the media server image.

Is it possible to have the released product display the media service image in D365 Commerce HQ without having to import the document files for each product and product variant?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Nicholas Peter,

What do you mean by "Media server image"?

    Please check the document:

We questioned this once with Microsoft and the answer was 'no'. You would have to do a development, or as you say, import the images for the Released product record association.

To understand this you have to appreciate that the HQ can be used without the ecommerce website etc.

Thanks for the feedback Paul. I was hoping that since the digital assets hosted in DAM were being marketed as an omni-channel solution, the call center channel would fall into that scope.

In this specific use case, it's the URL for the digital asset that we have saved in DAM.
