    Display width in SSRS report
    Hi,
I found this old thread, and similar to my problem.
Is there any other more "flexible" measurement instead mm, cm ? probably pixel or px ? but I tried this and result is error. I like the idea of "char" like this original thread, but I understand based on the reply that "char" also not supported
The issue is my field is too wide, because using EDT Description.

With this case, String size 60 and DisplayLength is 30, what would be the report use ? I'm using AutoDesign.

    Thanks

    Hi WWwong,

You cannot set char as the width unit, you can use in or cm and mm..

What is your real need? Wrap? can you elaborate?

    Hi WWwong,

I'm not sure if char is supported. If you try to put 1char, you should get some output: error with list of available units or correct result.

    Hi Sergei,

In the Report > Autodesign > Data > for each field, there is a property "Display Width" which usually is Auto.

If we put some number it will automatically give "in" for inch. Just thinking what is the options and can it be just "char" ? because "in" or "cm" is just to fix.

    Thanks
