Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> User Preferences >> Password button.
Tools >> Setup >> System >> User.
You need to be logged in as 'sa'
You can also set expiration, and require the user to update their password at next log in.
Best regards,
Ian.
In response to Ian Grieve's post, I have my end users running on GP 10 sp2 with all the latest patches. We've had an ongoing problem that when the end user wants to change their own password they go in to change it, it seems to save but the next time they log in they have to enter their old password.
Also, when the DBA changes their password in GP (and doesn't expire it) , the end user goes in and tries to reset the password but the same thing happens.
Do you have any clues why this happens. It used to be fine but at some point during the last year and a half this got broke.

Hi Tracy - did you find what was the cause? Sounds like a user permission or access issue - possibly in SQL?
I think that's a thing where we have it set to only allow one Password reset every 24 hrs in GP. Whether its a GP thing, or SQL or even Group Policy that's my finding. If the DBA doesn't set it to expire immediately then the user can't reset their password for 24 hrs. Its a training thing on our end.
Thank you John.
