Advantages of SSIS over Windows Services in CRM

We have Windows services in production which is importing data into CRM using threads build in .NET.

We are planning to move windows services to SSIS packages. What are all the benefits of having SSIS over windows services w.r.t. CRM and as per my knowledge script component of SSIS package import the data into CRM row by row then how can we improve performance. Is it possible to bulk import data to CRM in SSIS?

    Hello Rahul,

    As for me the main benefit is flexibility because every time you need to add/remove/change mapping between Source and Target you will have to involve developer when you use .Net windows service. When you use SSIS you don't need developer, you need just a person that know how to work with SSIS and you use SSIS adaptors like KingsWay soft. Also using mentioned adaptor you can improve performance using multithreading.

    Correct, if we go for any SSIS adaptor like KingsWaySoft then it definitely improve performance. But, what if client doesn't agree for it and we need to go for CRMProxy class in script component which will execute the records row by row. How to handle this situation. And if I use ExecuteMultipleRequest in that case I think only 2 instances of it can run over CRM server.  Correct me if I am wrong!

    Fairly I'm not a guru in SSIS but I believe it is possible to use parallelism. I found a lot of article that describe how to do it - www.google.com.ua/webhp;ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=ssis%20parallelism%20script%20component

    Regarding 2 instances of ExecuteMultipleRequest - I'm not sure what does that mean. Could you please provide a link that describes such limitation? I haven't hear about such limitation.

    In above link please check- Run-time limitations "for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online there is a limit of 2 concurrent ExecuteMultipleRequest executions per organization."
