Parent and Child Purchase Agreements - Where Can the All the Relationships be Viewed

Good Day Dynamics Community,

I am working with a public sector client that is using 'Parent/Child' Purchase agreements and they would like to know where they can view this relationship in D365 F&O.

I can find the 'Parent child agreement' column from 'All purchase agreements' list page and it can be selected when creating a new Purchase agreement, but so far have not been able to find any way to see the relationship between the parent and child agreements.

I compared this to standard AX and for this client it looks like some customization has been done, but I would expect to be able to see some difference between the parent and child purchase agreements and so far I cannot.

The only mention I have been able to find about creating a hierarchy of purchase agreements was related to public sector setup for France.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide on this topic.

    Hi Kristi,

    Click the agreement tree in the related information tab, and it will display the relationship among parent and child: docs.microsoft.com/.../fra-key-tasks-administer-purchase-agreements-public-sector

    Thanks so much for your reply, but I don't see the parent and child relationship in Related information.

    One thing I neglected to mention is that my client is not working in the public sector in France, but in the U.S. so not sure why they are using this parent and child relationship (other than for reference) if the only configuration I can find is for France.

    If I am in the Purchase agreement form and I open Related information all I see is Validity period, Vendor reference, and Invoice information; nothing related to the relationship.

    If there is anything else you can think of, please let me know.

    Hi Kristi,

    You need to enable the Use French public sector accounting rules parameter in Budgeting parameters, then the related feature will be enabled.

    Thank you again; I think your answer is correct for French public sector but do you know a way to see the parent and child relationships without enabling French public sector accounting rules?

    My client is a U.S. public sector company.

    Hi Kristi,

    Only when the parameter is enabled, then you can create parent and child purchase agreements.

    There is nowhere to see the relationship if the parameter is not enabled.
