Dynamics CRM: On Premise vs. Online Cloud

Hi,

Can anyone refer me to documentation covering the pros/cons from a total cost of ownership perspective of having a dedicated vs. online instance of microsoft dynamics? I know that online brings with it easier provisioning, cloud based updates, but this is at the cost of limited workflow automation and custom reports.

What I'm struggling with is understanding how much extra the cost components would be for a client that considers going on-premise for 100 users to enable them to benefit from additional functionality.

    Here is a nice chart that does the cost comparison between CRM Online and On-premise. I would recommend cloud system for 100 users as its advantages outweigh its limitations.

    Hi,

    That's great. From a CRM consultancy and build perspective the costs seem high for 100 users - though I'm not sure whether they're in USD or GBP.

    Either way, gives a great starting point to build up a TCO model. Thanks also for the link on Online vs. OnPrem limitations - perfect!

    Separately - does anyone have experience of hosting CRM Dynamics on Amazon Web Services?
