We've just upgraded our system to SL 7 Feature Pack 1 and pretty much got everything working right - except that 4 out of 5 machines will not launch the OM - Shippers module. Instead we get a failure to launch apology message offering to send the error report to Microsoft. We sent the first dozen to MS, but then stopped. When this error occures, Dynamics does not crash and other work may continue as if nothing was wrong.
Feature Pack 1 insisted on dotNet 3.5 and it conducted it install appropriately on each of the machines. We tried launching the OM - Shippers module when logged into the machines as domain admin and still no go.
We cleared the Administrative Tool's ODBC connections of any exisiting connects to the databases and we tried launching the OM - Shippers module while using "Standard" instead of "Self" level.
All five machines conducted the upgrades identically as they were executed by one person using the same checklist for each machine.
Any help is aprreciaed. Thank you for listening.

Thank you for the response. No, all installs (except server) were conducted under the user accounts (the user accounts are machine admins).
However, our 3rd party support group came back with a script late yesterday afternoon to be run against the system db and cleared the problem. The script was:
grant exec on GETAUTHENTICATIONTYPE to [Public]
problem solved.
But would installing as domain admin on each machine have prevented the need for such a script?
Then there's the ambiguity of which administrator . . . Domain Admin, Dynamics Admin, SQL Admin, Machine Admin ???
