Cheapest / Free Licence Model for Sales 365

Hi All

So I have a client how is looking for the most cost-effective way to implement Dynamics. They are small so cost is key but are keen to take advantage of the dynamics offering.

So for clients who need only a small number of full licences (say 5) and possibly another 5 in CE, maybe another 1 or 2 that have both. What is the most cost-effective way for other users to either see or update minimal data?

The problem here is that perhaps 50% of the workforce need full licences but the other half simply can't justify the cost. They either need to see very partial data or update individual properties (like status) on an infrequent basis.

What is the best option for licensing here? Is there a licensing model that fits? Or a MS supported work around? Like use an API/ Logic app to update a single value?

Many organizations have a large percentage of users who might consume data or reports from line-of-business systems—or perform simple tasks like entering time sheets or updating HR records—but don't require full user capabilities. The Dynamics 365 Team Members license is meant for these users.

Team Members user subscription designed for users who are not tied to particular function,but who require basic Dynamics 365 functionality. This license entitles the user to light weight access through designated scenarios built into Team Members experience. Full access to applications is governed through Dynamics 365 application user.

Of course, the price of the Team Members license is lower than that of the full license.

Please note that users of the Team Members license are limited to access these three apps:

Other D365 apps, such as Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 Marketing, and Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation, cannot be accessed by Team Members license users.
