Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Project Quotation to be sent to multiple prospect/customers

Hi All,

Greetings!

I'm helping one of my customer to implement AX 2012 R3 for their hardware business and as part of that they have a separate system to do Door scheduling. We are planning to get Door Scheduling under AX umbrella.

In their  business (construction), they have a requirement to send a project quotation to multiple prospects or clients (because these clients are bidding for a project) so they don't know who will win the final bid and hence the need to send a quote to multiple prospects.

In AX 2012 R3 as far as I have explored, there's no way to send a single quote (project/sales quotation) to multiple customers/prospects. I know we would need to customize. However, i'm looking for some suggestions or comments from the forum re. what is the simplest way to build this into AX? Anyone having experience on this. Please suggest.

    Hi Dilip,

    It is indeed not possible to create one single quote to multiple customers. You can consider using Quotation templates and create a quotation based on the template per customer. I had the same requirement when I worked for a construction company.

    Otherwise you have to look at the purchase quotations in AX. There is the functionality to create one quotation for multiple vendors. You can get your inspiration here.
