Hi!
I want to use Excel templates the same way as Word templates so I can use the template on a single record only and pull in related data. This doesn't seem possible, as the Excel templates must be based on a list view? Correct? Any thoughts on a solution for this?

you can create another view by advanced find and put up a query to have your single record in that view .....then you can use the excel template for that view...
