CRM 4.0 w3wp.exe process hog

Hello,

I have a CRM 4.0 server with IIS 6.

Inital problem was user complaining of a slow server. I looked in Task Manager and saw that the w3wp.exe process was taking any free power it could. Making my cpu's run at 100% all the time.

Looking at my W3SVC1 logs I see thousands of lines of this:
W3SVC1 127.0.0.1 POST /MSCrmServices/2007/CrmService.asmx - 80 DAM\CRM$ 127.0.0.1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+MS+Web+Services+Client+Protocol+2.0.50727.3625) 200 0 0

Checking old logs I'll see that line maybe a few dozen times. Now my log files have jumped from 200 meg a day to 1 gig a day, just full of that line over and over again.

About two weeks back I was tinkering with the IFD. It is quite possible I screwed up something there, but don't know what.

Here is another article that could help:
