Upgrading custom smartlist from GP 9 to GP 2010

We are upgrading GP from GP9 to GP 2010. After initial steps of upgrading, all the default GP smartlists were migrated well but all the custom smartlists show no data.

We tried the following steps:

1. Open custom smartlist from smartlist builder and save it to make GP 2010 update smartlist structure before viewing that smartlist, it worked.

2. export smartlist from GP9 and reimport into GP 2010, some of them worked but some of them miss the information of default display columns.

Since we have tons of custom smartlist, either of solutions is not realistic in tight timeline. Any suggestion or idea how to upgrade custom smartlist quickly?

Hi Hua,

You have to setup security task for customized smarlist to give permission to users.

This is due to new security system in GP2010 unlike in GP 9

- create a task -- tools>setup>system>security tasks> create new id ID - Category: System/relevant smartlist category -

Product: smarlist builder - Type: smartlist permissions - Series: Smartlist builder

- create role and assign above newly created task

- Apply above role to users, whoever want access to your customized smartlist.

- Now open the smartlist you will be able to see them
