When the users enter a new lead I have a grid on the bottom of the form which displays any potential duplicates so the user can be notified if the new lead may be a duplicate.

I've got this working using fetchxml which I update after change of certain entry fields.

The issue I have is that the grid displays 'To enable this content, create the record'. Is it possible that this can be refreshed before the new record has been saved?

What CRM are you using.

If you are using CRM 2011 you could just change the duplicate rules to stop them adding duplciates

if you are using CRM 2013 there is a duplicate detection solution written by Jason Lattimer

here is a blog which features code to refresh the grid in CRM 2011 using Javascript

I think this might be tricky because I'm not quite sure what the trigger for the refresh would be
