    Hi,

    Refer this article-docs.microsoft.com/.../visual-studio-dot-net-framework

Its the .Net Framework you need to consider which should be Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Manvitha,

Recommended to  use VS 2015 or upper version and framework 4.5.2 or higher.   See here the compatibility of VS version compare to .NET framework  to better understanding.

The official developer toolkit is compatible with VS2015. You can do some modifications to install it on VS2017 (which I am using) and VS2019 Preview. Judging from other forum posts, .NET framework v4.5.2 is the safest bet and I suggest you stick with this method of deployment or the usual solution import. PRT partially stopped working on everything (even 8.2 orgs) when I tried to use it on my work pc with my V9 environment (it was working before on v8.2) ,  but now I can't update the plugins manually. XrmToolBox PRT seems to work fine.

Edit: Never mind the deployment suggestion. PRT started working again (probably I just needed a restart).
