I'm usually pretty good uncovering information but can't find an answer to what should be a pretty common scenario: How do I delete (not close) an opportunity? I did an import and it picked up a bunch of blank rows and I need to get rid of them. I don't see a way to delete either a single opportunity record or many opportunities at once.
Hi,
What is your security role? Your role may not have enough privileges to delete an opportunity.
Depending on your access in Dynamics, you could create a bulk delete job. That would likely be the quickest, and most hands-off way to delete your blank opportunities. It will allow you to create a query, something like 'If Row 'X' does not contain data and Opportunity was Created On Today, (may want to add more conditions so as to not accidentally delete other opportunities that should remain) then pull into the query and delete the record.
If you cannot find the delete button, please check the security role of the user you used to login.
Please refer to the following steps:
If the security role does not have the privilege to delete records in Opportunity entity, please contact the System Administrator to grant the privilege to the role or re-assign a role with the delete privilege to the login user.
Here is the documentation about the Security Roles and Privileges which you can refer to:
