Posting from bank mgt module to GL

Hi,

My query is regarding posting options from bank mgt module to GL. Is there a way that I can post monthly totals (not detail transactions) from bank book to GL. This will avoid posting all detail transactions to GL but only monthly debit/credit totals will get posted in GL. 

Pl confirm if I can set the above scenario in BC.

    There is no such option available. The G/L will always reflect all the detailed transactions of the bank account ledgers.

    Sounds like you can solve that with reporting rather than a system alteration.

    You could have a dummy bank account posting group and then move balances with a recurring journal at the end of a period.

    Hi, Since the same record is updated in bank module as well as GL, it is a duplication of data. My suggestion is to post monthly/periodic control totals from bank module to GL account so that bank module has detail data and GL has summarized data.
