User Role does not allow to create appointment / phone call activity

Posted on by 47

We are using Dynamics Online - For one of our security roles, users are not able to create appointments or phone calls using the Timeline activity. The Quick

Create form shows up with no issue, but when attempting to create the record, we get the following error:

QuickCreateIssue.jpg

This seems like a fairly straightforward error; however, the user can create a task. From what I understand the "Activity" core record is what is needed to create any activities, so I'm not sure why appointments/phone calls are treated differently.

Other users are able to create all activities with no issues.

    Hi,

This log is not much helpful.

Try below approach which I suggested earlier as well.

open Developer Tool (Hit F12) and then perform the operation and check network tab to see the error details.

As suggested above, please try to get full details - it should tell where exactly is the error.

It can be a case where you this role might have full permission on activity , however the lookups on this record might not have appropriate permissions.

    HI,

Could you please download log to check exact missing privilege.

Also if download log button is not visible then open Developer Tool (Hit F12) and then perform the operation and check network tab to see the error details.
