Finance report generate by all financial dimension value

HI All,

My company set a finance dimensions use values from item, and I maintain all the item code for its finance dimensions,

so the LedgerTran finance dimension will include the item code, now I want to design a finance report, generate report data group by all the item code.

now I can user the Report Options display by finance dimension only one dimension value...

Because of every day may creat a new item code ,I set up the main account in row, and I don't want to set the finance dimension item code in the column one by one..every day , so what should I do?

Hi Shirlow,

Do your items and item findims start with the same prefix, such as ITEM123, ITEM124, etc. which would allow you making use of wildcards, such as ITEM*? Have you tried using that approach?

As you mentioned above, I would not setup and fix the item findims in rows or columns as rows are kind of static. You can of course use wildcards but then you don't have an item per line or column.

Can you provide some additional information what this report is intended for?

This is my reoprt template, Item code did have the same prefix, and the report period by month.

Hi,

I would try the following report design:

1. Rows

In the last column you enter your main accounts

2. Columns

In the dimension filter columns enter your dimensions with wildcards, such as *

(Note: I don't use the item as findim in my machine and thus have to use the item group findim in my columns)

Hi Ludwig,

Yes, I see..

I know this function, but you know we have 500+ products and we will have create new item code every weekend, so if we create the column by every item , it will be very crazy..
