I am a former SAP user and was wondering if there was similar functionality within AX as the use of trading partners.  This was typically used to identify which company our intercompany was with.  It allowed the use of 1 intercompany account for many different trading partners.

    Hi,

    If I understand correctly it was possible to have one main account for intercompany accounting and have multiple companies posted on this account.

    It is possible to setup a dimension in AX naming Trading partners where the values are based on the legal entities (companies) in AX. Then you can have one main account with a dimension.

    Note that the setup of intercompany accounting in AX can only store the main account. By use of multiple journal names you can default the "Trading partner" dimension per company.

    in Dynamics AX if Trading partner is mapped to Vendor then in Vendor master you have two fields

    VendAccount

    and InvoiceAccount

    In Dynamics AX we can map one InvoiceAccount to may VendAccount
